RE:RE:CVE 50% OWNED Borger TX Refinery SHUTTING DOWN In October Planned maintenance at this time of year makes sense as there is always a chance for shut in production from hurricanes anyway.
I have always been curious about the 50/50 operations. How they came about and why and then if those reasons were so good why they would want to end the 50/50 partnership (unless of course there was a deal to be had).
Also even though the two refineries are of different capacities could a deal not be made for one to take one and one to take the other plus cash either way?
Otherwise carry on carrying on.
GLTY and all

* Cenovus Energy would LIKE TO BUYOUT the 50% share of WRB Refining held by Phillips 66 but UNFORTUNATELY PSX is a VERY SKILLED OPERATOR who KNOWS the INTRINSIC VALUE of the Wood River and Borger refineries and is EITHER NOT WILLING TO SELL or is DEMANDING a VERY HIGH PRICE that CVE CAN'T CONTEMPLATE PAYING
- PSX is NO BP
