Baytex Energy Corp. is a Canada-based energy company. The Company is engaged in the acquisition, development and production of crude oil and natural gas in the Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin and in the Eagle Ford in the United States. Its crude oil and natural gas operations are organized into three main operating areas: Light Oil USA (Eagle Ford), Light Oil Canada (Pembina Duvernay / Viking) and Heavy Oil Canada (Peace River / Peavine / Lloydminster). Its Eagle Ford assets are located in the core of the liquids-rich Eagle Ford shale in South Texas. The Eagle Ford shale covers approximately 269,000 gross acres of crude oil operations. Its Viking assets are located in the Dodsland area in southwest Saskatchewan and in the Esther area of southeastern Alberta. It also holds 100% working interest land position in the East Duvernay resource play in central Alberta.

RE:RE:RE:HeadscratcherYeah good point Nextlegup. Operating income growth will drive sp. Bte has no control of the macro effects that will drive imcome growth like wti and wcs prices. But they have considerable influence on volumes sold and reductions in per boe operating expenses or break even that can increase operating income. 

Even if their break even is higher in Eagle Ford snd wti drops making their netbacks smaller but they can increase volume output then operating income goes up. Then they can decide what to do with the cash. If they hit on a way to really boost production then spend it on capex to really crank out the barrels and screw the resulting much lower fcf numbers and what to do with it. As you say once we see what Eagle Ford is capable of then maybe investors will adapt to a more buy and hold position.
