USHA Expands its White Willow Lithium Project In 2022, there were a total of 45 lithium mines in operation worldwide, with an additional 11 set to open during the current year and an extra seven planned for 2024. However, this expanding mining activity may not be sufficient to meet the growing demand for lithium.

Given this potential supply gap, investors are actively seeking out promising lithium exploration companies like Usha Resources (USHA.v USHAF), which are strategically positioned to help alleviate the impending supply shortages.
Usha Resources is currently involved in two significant projects: the White Willow project located in Ontario and the Jackpot Lake project situated in Nevada. The latter holds a strategic advantage due to its close proximity to the only active lithium operation in the United States. While the White Willow Project is close to several other lithium discoveries.
At the White Willow project, the company recently made a substantial discovery of lithium-cesium-tantalum (LCT) mineralization, covering a span of over 25 kilometers and showing continued potential at both ends.
Following five weeks of on-site work, USHA has gathered data from 618 samples, all of which have yielded positive assay results, notably showcasing elevated levels of lithium oxide, cesium, tantalum, and rubidium.
The presence of a high-grade tantalum deposit is of particular significance, and geochemical assessments suggest the potential for spodumene-bearing dykes in the area.
As a result of these developments, USHA has outlined plans to initiate their inaugural drilling program in the first quarter of 2024, with a focus on 10 identified pegmatites. The company plans to return to the site in October for further prospecting and mapping activities before launching geophysical surveys.
