RE:RE:Sold a good chunk of my SNC position too

Everything I hoped and expected to happen, including the name change has now come more or less to fruition. And yet I had to sell in June under $34 to raise funds for my kid. Well, she owns a house free and clear now and that is really something for that generation. In retrospect, I'd have been far better off holding the stock and using my HELOC for 2 or 3 months - but you never know when a stock will finally move. It's just that it did. Still, I made a little money on it from options but less than a buck on the sale.
Expecting some cash coming my way shortly so I intend to buy in again in a small way if the SP pulls back a bit. I love working those options.
Anyway, good on all you lucky devils who are taking better profits now and good luck on what you hang onto!

If Ian was removed from the picture and we had someone else in charge like a WSP ceo I might have held on. Too many headaches and frustration over the last 4 years. I was pissed off at myself for not selling when it went to $30 plus a few times only to drop down to the low 20's or high teens.
Moved my money to the Cannabis sector. A stock that is on fire and just reported a stellar ER today is High Tide(Hiti- tsx). It is Canada's largest discount cannabis retailer (not a producer ) that is trading at about a .4 p/s ratio. Keep your eyes on that name. Trading at just $2.64 today. During the Cannabis speculation reform boom a few years ago, the stock was trading at $16 cdn. The company is about 3x better today than the last time. They have grown big time and the CEO (Raj Grover is the smartest CEO in this space imo). He is also the largest shareholder at over 6m shares. Only about 75m shares o/s.
Talk of Cannabis reform movement is heating up again over the last month in advance of next years usa elections and those stocks are starting to move again.
Below is the link to todays High Tide ER for those who care. Good luck

my "voodoo" tells me housing will correct up to 30% in the coming couple of years. Check out what has happened to recreational cottage properties. It's only a matter of time.
it's painful for the kids writing those rent checks, but if they want to live in downtown TO - buying a condo in this market would be crazy.
