Baytex Energy Corp. is a Canada-based energy company. The Company is engaged in the acquisition, development and production of crude oil and natural gas in the Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin and in the Eagle Ford in the United States. Its crude oil and natural gas operations are organized into three main operating areas: Light Oil USA (Eagle Ford), Light Oil Canada (Pembina Duvernay / Viking) and Heavy Oil Canada (Peace River / Peavine / Lloydminster). Its Eagle Ford assets are located in the core of the liquids-rich Eagle Ford shale in South Texas. The Eagle Ford shale covers approximately 269,000 gross acres of crude oil operations. It also holds 100% working interest land position in the East Duvernay resource play in central Alberta.

RE:RE:RE:Comments on the IEA postWe also should look at deforestation protocols.  It used to be that we burnt the trimmings of the trees as a good stewards to promote the new generation of tree growth.  Now we leave the trimming on site.  They become great fodder for fires.  AND they also cause the needless burning of new growth. 

So the whole newly planted area goes back to zero, the fire is uncontrolled and causes undue harm to communities in close proximity.  

Controlled burns need to be brought back as a precaution.

Don't get me started on what triggers the fires.  There are many credible sources, not just a good old hot summer day, or a thunderstrike or two.  We have been playing with cloud seeding and EMP's for decades, nearly half a century.
