Baytex Energy Corp. is a Canada-based energy company. The Company is engaged in the acquisition, development and production of crude oil and natural gas in the Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin and in the Eagle Ford in the United States. Its crude oil and natural gas operations are organized into three main operating areas: Light Oil USA (Eagle Ford), Light Oil Canada (Pembina Duvernay / Viking) and Heavy Oil Canada (Peace River / Peavine / Lloydminster). Its Eagle Ford assets are located in the core of the liquids-rich Eagle Ford shale in South Texas. The Eagle Ford shale covers approximately 269,000 gross acres of crude oil operations. Its Viking assets are located in the Dodsland area in southwest Saskatchewan and in the Esther area of southeastern Alberta. It also holds 100% working interest land position in the East Duvernay resource play in central Alberta.

Refusing to do anything because others will not, just dooms everybody.  Hopefully, China and India will eventually follow the western world's lead.

In other news, WTI is steady and BTE is drifting.  Hopefully, another fund will buy in sooner than later.

 I think restating the preprepared rhetoric that most are fed on our daily news feed is actually the reason we are in this situation in the first place. Nobody is saying we should try and reduce our carbon footprint.  What I am aying is that a) Canada has a negative carbon footprint  and b) reducing our mining and drilling while other countries increase theirs results in net change.  On the contrary, those responsible for this mess are actually increasing their footprint. Are you helping the environment if instead of Canadian oil you are using Iranian oil/  Let me guess.  Your follow-up response will be that we should reduce our carbon emmisions because it is bad for the environment...
