Betrayed?? Did Bison sell us out?Now ......I bet you didn'y expected me to make another appearance, for the THIRD time & to see me here ONCE again? Did you? LOL? But don't fret my friends you're not alone, i surprised even myself that i'm back here posting once........because i REALLY did expect to be back here.......again! But i think it's important that i do, because the FINAL voting resuklts reveal a more shaddy & suspect outcome & story than people here think.....
From my presence back here, i can already see Mr. Two Time Wolrd Champ of Ignorance, Mr. Reddick The Scholar, turning beat red like poor ole Elmer Fudd & fuming at the ear lobes. But regardless what fools like hime think or say about people like me who called this right from the beginning, i thin it's crucial that ALL you are aware of the following. The voting here is VERY telling of a few things.....and i'll tell you right now what those are & what i believe happed here. Now this is over & done and the voting is concluded, it doesn't really matter BUT i think it's still very important people know.
First things first, we all KNEW this was going to be close..... well let me rephase that.... I KNEW along with maybe a handful of other smart individuals/investors on here, KNEW this was going to be close depeding on HOW a certain wild card voted. But this close, with THAT finally "suspect" tally? Something just isn't adding up here and this story is alot more shaddy than we originally thought and puts the Painted Pony debacle of a few years ago.....to utter shame like it was a Sunday School rehersal. So let me TRY to explain this as simple as possible so you can grasp it....as i do.....
The second thing the voting "results" tells us, is that to our surprise, GMT's dissdent intent MIGHT have been genuine from the start, that they were THAT upset & REALLY wanted this deal to fail. So why do i say this now. after critisizing & questioning thier intentions all this time? Because the numbers speak loudly & say so. And here again let me TRY to explain. Now remember folks, all this was dependant on one entity, Al Mehwar, and HOW they voted & the EXACT % of their interest in Pipe. So if we look at the actual numbers, this is what we get.
As stated before, those in FAVOR of the deal had about ~44% secured votes, guaranteed & kKNOWN which was made up of 39% Riverstone & 5% Pipestone mgmt/bod. Now, the NO side is where things get really interesting here. Those institutional holders who SAID PUBLICLY that they opposed the deal were the following. GMT ~19%, Bison ~5% & Libra 1% respectively. Which gives them a combined ~25% which was thought to be also KNOWN & GUARANTEED. But sometihng doesnt add up when you factor in the "Wild Card" & game changer, the Abu Dhabi folks.
Why? Because the ONLY way that we get 32.4% opposed is IF Al Mehwar voted AGAINST the deal AND someone else got turned & sold out. That means that the StratCona guys might have gotten to a small institutional, who was orignally oppposed to the deal and possbily "bribed" them or convinced them to sell out. And the only one that makes sense here is Bison. Because the numbers only make sense if that's what happened here. So it could very well mean that this deal what about to go down in flames and be defeated ONLY to be saved at the very last moment by the StraCona-Waterous folks with some "creative" underhanded wheeling & dealing.
Of course this all speculation & guesstimates on my behalf, trying to understand what really took place here, but i think it all makes sense. It's truly the only plausible explantion that makes sesne imho. You gotta figure that IF Al Mehwar voted no, which it looks like they did, then their ~11% interest should have been sufficient to kill the deal, BUT something went terribly wrong here in the final moments, maybe in the last few days prior to the vote. StrathCona-Waterous saved by the bell in the final seconds by some "questionable" practices & betrayal? Seem likely to me........
In any case, all this doesn't make a single difference anymore, but i thought you SHOULD ALL know what possibly took place. Because what happened here is truly sad, worrisome and put into question our beliefs of what is fair, just & transparent in these markets. If anyone here ever played competetive sports in their lives, you all know that losing in this fashion is the worst, sooo close but out JUST of reach at he last second. It's like losing on penalty kicks, on the final kick after playing double overtime in the final of the World Cup. Better for us if this was voted in favor by 90%+ and it ended there.....
Anyway my friends, that;s my two cents worth and i hope it has opened your eyes & enlightened all of you. I'll stick aorund a bit longer, just on this thread, if anyone has anything to say. But aside from that, i wish you ALL the best!
