RE:RE:WHAT is going on?Thanks for your response Hoffbag, I read it with great interest. I must admit some ignorance here, I haven't been following the renewable front as carefully as I should. When you say NEP, I presume you mean NextEra Energy Partners, a company similar to BEP that has experienced some challenges lately. If I understand things correctly, they would just contribute to the green doldrums, but not be responsible for the HUGE BEP drop, as of this writing down almost 4% AGAIN to $29.50.
At this price, it would return a dividend over 6%, which would normally be a great deal, except I've had some experience with Brookfield (Brookfield Property Partners) that were less than ideal, and cause me to hesitate. Perhaps other investors feel the same?
Other Canadian Utilities . . . Fortis, Emera, Hydro One, Canadian Utilities - they're all in the dumpster. Are we done with interest rate increases? Who knows? I remember in the early 80's there was constant rumours that we were done . . . and rates just kept marching upwards.
Hoffbag - may I ask, have you added to, or will you be adding to your BEP holdings?
