Vital Separation Project BankruptcyDoes it not make sense that Vital would put the brakes on spending many millions of dollars in producing/creating a plant when Ucore already has a commercial demonstration plant up and running that does the same thing? The outcome would be oxides which Ucore will also be producing. They probably realized how much work and how hard it is to get the plant up and running and decided to bail and get their mine going instead. Ucore did the opposite and chose to bail on Bokan and instead focus on the separation technology which is what is really needed in North America. They are at a much more advanced stage than Vital was is my understanding.
I was at the Rick Rule Investment conference in July in Florida and saw the Meteoric Resources presenation (from Australia). Given the grade of the deposit and the sheer size, I quickly realized that Bokan will never get built as ionic clays have rare earths that are much easier to separate using ammonium sulfate (fertilizer) to concentrate (rather than hard rock mining to get them to a concentrate) as the costs will always be much cheaper. I asked if they were in discussions with Ucore for separation of the concentrate as it seems to be the perfect fit. He just said that he could not answer due to NDA but he was very aware of Ucore.
Sounded promising but I am very tired of the drop in Ucore price. Let's see a valid news release with offtakes, financing, or something that finally unlocks the value for long term shareholders. We deserve to be rewarded for our long term support of this company. Come on Mark and Ryan, let the shareholders know what is going on, or do we finally capitulate and give up?
