Environment Minister Susana Muhamad , He explained that the National Government began a process of dialogue with Arab countries so that the investment they seek do in mining , on a large scale, in the Santurbn wasteland go on solar or wind energy projects in different regions of the country with the intention that no contamination of the water that occurs in the moor is generated and that reaches more than two million people in the moor Bucaramanga metropolitan area and northern Santander.
"And what the president has ratified Gustavo Petro and I confirm here is that we do not see the large gold mining in the Santurbn moor as convenient and we are advancing in the process so that we make a legal decision on the subject, which has includedd talks with the Government of the United Arab Emirates, precisely, to change that investment towards something that is more productive like renewable energy in other parts of the country, ”said Environment Minister Susana Muhamad.
