BNN Bloomberg InterviewAll I can say is that I will be SO HAPPY when they start producing helium from that plant and selling five 9's helium.
Andrew talks about the contracts with the space companies.
"That is very common in the helium industry. Generally the product is sold beforre turning the plant on".
Doesn't he think anyone has been following the story. These contracts were touted as the first ever directly to an end user. The usual model has been sales through an industrial gas compnay as North American Helium has done with 5 plants coming on in the last 18 months. So RHC got a better price and that is good but it is either very common in the helium industry or first ever deal like this by a small (pre-production at that) helium company.
Then the direct question comes about when production will start - "Any idea when that will happen?".
The answer was sort of mind boggling. "We have been trying not to give guidance on that. It will be a few weeks. Likely two or three".
First of all they have been giving guidance for a year, they have just missed all the timelines. In first quarter, in second quarter, in 3rd quarter, in 2H 2023. Last one a few months ago was "weeks, not months". And now it is a rolling few weeks.
They know there will always be a tiny bit of worry that they won't meet specs and that worry increases the long it does from commissioning it and running gas through the plant and delivering the specified product.
Anyway I will be so happy when they ship the product.
