Second energy task force meeting

Second energy task force meetingConsidering the US Canada Energy Transformation Task Force has a one year mandate and six months have gone by, hopefully we start to see some favourable outcomes soon.

Deputy Prime Minister Chrystia Freeland is heading to Washington to meet Amos Hochstein, the White House’s top energy and investment adviser, for the second meeting of their energy transformation task force.

Thursday’s task force gathering will focus on critical minerals, grid integration, and nuclear ... Canada’s Energy and Natural Resources Minister Jonathan Wilkinson and his chief of staff Claire Seaborn will join Thursday’s meeting. Wilkinson’s counterpart, U.S. Secretary of Energy Jennifer Granholm, is not expected to attend.

Deputy Finance Minister Chris Forbes is also travelling to Washington.
