When I was still working in "the business", I had one client in particular who followed BNN religiously and would call me regularly to get my opinion on the stock picks by the guest "expert". I must admit that it was rare event when I agreed with the pick and recommended that she buy some of that stock.
One thing that BNN did back then (I don't watch it myself - don't know if they still do it) was to show the performance of the guests past picks. Most of the time a monkey with a set of darts throwing them at stock listing wouda done better. Often wondered why they were even invited back, let alone be regular guests.
