Athabasca Oil Corporation (AOC) is a Canadian energy company with a focused strategy on the development of thermal and light oil assets. AOC’s segments include Light Oil and Thermal Oil. The Thermal Oil segment includes the Company’s assets, liabilities and operating results for the exploration, development and production of bitumen from sand and carbonate rock formations located in the Athabasca region of Northern Alberta. It also consists of two operating oil sands steam assisted gravity drainage projects and a resource base of exploration areas in the Athabasca region of northeastern Alberta. The Light Oil segment includes its assets, liabilities and operating results for the exploration, development and production of light crude oil and medium crude oil, tight oil and conventional natural gas. Its Light Oil segment consists exclusively of the Duvernay in the Greater Kaybob area with about 155,000 gross acres across Kaybob West, Kaybob North, Kaybob East and Two Creeks.

RE:RE:RE:RE:us gov. plan to buy oil to replenish the SPR at $79.00 ....The Cdn producers can ship it to the U.S. West Coast no problem.
Whoever wants is going to have to pay the going rate for it.

How much of that oil from the new trans mountain pipeline will be shipped to the west coast of the states?  As you said, the US relys on that cheap source.  Without it, the US 'consumer' (always reminds me of cattle)  revolt. Canada provides the US with these cheap resourses as russia once did for europe.  Oddly enough, our (i live in germany) cheap source of energy (nord strream) got blown to pieces along with the economy.  Hope canada has some heavy security for that pipeline route.  If too much oil finds its way to asia, 'the russians'  (or was is ukraine?) may put it out of commission.
