RE:Response to recent media reportI note that in the Globe article, Syed is quoted '...and there was a finding of no wrongdoing' by the Alberta Public Interest Commisioner, and this stated is more or less re-iterated in this statement (along with statements about the due diligence of the Avalon board).
This is more or less true, but articles from 2019 on the report from the 3 seperate commisions on the AER were not flattering to Mr. Syed. CBC article https://www.cbc.ca/news/business/aer-icore-board-members-1.5312265 says that he had a penchant for expensive travel, and also that he was trying to secure himself a high salary of 500K at ICORE https://albertaviews.ca/crisis-of-confidence/.
This is not a good look for a company which yahoo finance lists as having 2.13 million in debt. I am a shareholder and would love for Avalon to succeed but this sort of thing is making my spidey-sense tingle, if you know what I mean.
