The Company is engaged in the acquisition, development and production of crude oil and natural gas in the Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin and in the Eagle Ford in the United States. Its crude oil and natural gas operations are organized into three main operating areas: Light Oil USA (Eagle Ford), Light Oil Canada (Pembina Duvernay / Viking) and Heavy Oil Canada (Peace River / Peavine / Lloydminster). Its Eagle Ford assets are located in the core of the liquids-rich Eagle Ford shale in South Texas. The Eagle Ford shale covers approximately 269,000 gross acres of crude oil operations. Its Viking assets are located in the Dodsland area in southwest Saskatchewan and in the Esther area of southeastern Alberta. It also holds 100% working interest land position in the East Duvernay resource play in central Alberta.

RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:10 years "Tier 1" acreage/wells.I think the point of vew shared by Mr. Nuttall and a lot of investors who have traded oil stocks in Canada for many years is that they want prompt, direct benefits to shareholders (either through share-price catalysts like buybacks and debt payments, or through dividends).  They do not seek large new capital expenditures that increase debt and may not payback for several years..

You could reasonably call this view shortsighted, but it is very understandable given the extent to which investors were burned in the 2013/2014 collapse of oil prices, when many companies doing extensive capex and carrying large debt were hurt badlly when their assumption that high oil prices would continue proved false.

Why should investors risk the longer tierm play, if they can get payback sooner without the risk?
