RE:HUGE WRITEDOWNI mean it says a lot about sentiment and how warped thinking is rn bc historically if you look at empriical data on REIT buyouts, anything even slightly less than NAV would be considered very hostile in a "normal" environment, whatever "normal" is/was.. Think of how much $$ in permanent losses this creates.. most retail holders probably have a higher cost basis and would rather play it out and at least have equity upside still, AND be effectively bringing their cost basis down each month with div payments.. i'd be PISSED to get an offer for a staggering dollar off NAV.. F that..
