They would make more cash from keeping it compared to spinning it out?

they spin it out and let's say keep 20% of the company and the rest goes to the share holders. Let's say it gets a 10 million market cap (who knows what the market will value it at). If they instantly liquidated all their 20% it would only give them 2 million. Can't imagine this would be a plan.
