@Dodgetown I agree @namazon they are hoping for three separate defence lawyers to make the case for the AMF by blaming each other which tells me the AMF doesn’t have much. Plus they also stipulated that Osler shouldn’t be considered the lawyer for any of the 3 defendants- so IMO even if they had separate counsel there should be no reason that Osler couldn’t be one of them other than that potentially the AMF doesn’t want to face Osler in court - they are a top tier firm and as mentioned, the lawyer used to work for the AMF. I think the motion screams lack of confidence in the case by the AMF. The defendant should always have the right to choose their own defence team and strategy and hopefully the judge if honest upholds that right.
