RE:Can't reconcile this.. Help me out here folks.Hi Pine, I have one general thought to share: WRN is a big fish in a small pond. What I mean by this is within the arena of junior resource stocks, yes we are well known and a "must have" in one's portfolio if you are even one iota serious about gold. But, herein lies the issue. WAY too many investors are ignorant to gold in the grand scheme of things.
Hell, even many of the professionals are outright hostile to gold as I can attest - I joined my company's 401k management committee with the sole purpose ot attempting to add some precious metals mutual funds to the list of selections we could choose from. My primary boss and the third party administrators of the plan shot down that idea very quickly because gold is "too risky, too volatile, etc."
When you have 99% of the populace ignorant or hostile towards gold, there is no wonder sentiment is in the dump and WRN seems to languish (along with all the other juniors right now). What will change this? In my opinion a combination of gold backing the currency in the future and gold prices well north of $2,500.
I have to admit, the average investor is ignorant to basic monetary knowledge and can only handle the most simplistic index fund or 401k mutual fund. Why do most folk pay to have someone file their taxes or invest their money? Becaue the overwhelming majority of people are intellecutally lazy and care not about their own financial well-being.
But, we need the sheeple do we not? Who else will buy our junior resource stocks at 10x or 20x the price we paid down the road? Wealth always transfers from the ignorant to the wise and from the patient to the impatient. Just the simple facts of life.
On my end, I just patiently accumulate and wait. Now is a good time to get ready to deploy some dry powder as we are setting new 52 week lows in the share price.
