Experts Disagree w/ Bearish Lithium Sentiments Despite the recent slump in lithium prices, many industry leaders disagree with bearish sentiments on lithium and EV markets. Lithium expert Joe Lowry for example believes that the drop in lithium prices is from Chinese panic buying highs in 2022, and highlights how prices are still significantly higher than 2020 levels. Additionally, some projections suggest demand for lithium could outstrip supply by 46% in 2030.

As governments worldwide express their support for phasing out gas-powered vehicles, the surge in demand for lithium in electric vehicles (EVs) is on the horizon, potentially surpassing the available supply. Addressing this impending demand, Grid Battery Metals Inc. (trading under the tickers CELL.v and EVKRF) has taken control of three lithium projects in a prominent mining state.
CELL's primary focus revolves around advancing projects that harness the potential of battery metals, and recent developments underscore their promising prospects in this industry.
One of CELL's valuable assets is the Texas Springs Property, situated in Elko County, Nevada. This property hosts a lithium clay deposit nestled within volcanic tuff and tuffaceous sediments of the Humboldt Formation.
Located adjacent to the Nevada North Lithium Project, owned by Surge Battery Metals Inc. (trading as NILI.v), the Texas Spring Property has yielded encouraging results. Recent drilling conducted by NILI has uncovered lithium content reaching up to 8070 parts per million (ppm), a significant achievement in the pursuit of high-grade lithium resources.
CELL is also making significant progress with its Clayton Valley Lithium Project, where they have a 100% stake in 113 lithium lode and placer claims. This region boasts a rich history of lithium-bearing volcanic ash deposits.
Furthermore, CELL's exploration team has recently visited their Volt Canyon Lithium Property in Lander County, Nevada.
As part of their exploration strategy, CELL has engaged Rangefront Geological to conduct comprehensive soil sampling on a 100m x 100m grid, marking the initial phase of their exploration efforts. The data obtained from these soil samples, combined with future geophysical surveys, will play a pivotal role in predicting the geological structure and identifying potential lithium accumulation points.
