RE:RE:Indonesia PM coming to Washington Agree 100%. It seems Sherritt keeps getting caught in the wrong cycle. When they invested in the Ambitovy operations the Nickel market plummeted and basically almost killed the company. They got out from under that death nell and now, the kneejerk reaction to EVs is causing ramped up production of Nickel everywhere. The miners are killing their own market. The gluts in supply will destroy prices and force bankruptcies.
EVs will not take over for a long cycle of time if ever. We'll get hybrids moving forward for now and new technologies like ammonia or updated tech using hydrogen will come forward. Mining is too environmentally impactful. You aren't saving anything when you have to mine for the materials for batteries.
Sherritt should pause their expansion as I've suggested before and use the money to pay down debt. If the market crashes, use some money to buy Nickel property in Canada. It's closer to Fort and of course, opens up the US market for them. This is the long-term planning they should be investigating. All IMHO of course.
