RE:Global Village-Climate China approved an increase in coal-fired electricity production capacity in the first quarter of 2023.
It has validated, last year, its largest wave of creation of coal-fired power plants since 2015, at the rate of the equivalent of two large coal-fired power plants per week.
An energy policy which makes it difficult to achieve its objectives of reducing emissions due to fossil fuels.
Some point to the fact that China is also the world leader in renewable energy production. It dominates the global clean energy supply chain, from solar panels to electric cars to battery storage.
However, I think that global warming will never be resolved as long as coal-fired power stations are used in China.
