RE:Ilmenite - 2024 forecast

RE:Ilmenite - 2024 forecastThe same management team made similar comments during the iron fiasco.

I do not believe any of the numbers until they actually deliver

From the PR:
"The Company successfully commissioned and is in the process of ramping up production of its new ilmenite concentrate plant with initial production of 350 tonnes in August and 700 tonnes in September; The first commercial shipment of ilmenite is in progress and should contribute to the Company's revenues in Q4 2023 as a by-product of its vanadium operations"

So we were able to produce 700tonnes in September but beween now and March we can only produce half of this?
The first commercial shipment is in progress.... Yes, sure ?

We are now expecting a production capacity of 8,000T - 9,000T/ mth starting April 2024 which represents a considerable reduction from the previous expectation of 145,000T/year (12,000T/ mth).

Production forecast for 2024:

Q1-24 = 300T - 500T per month (assuming an average production of 1,200T/Q)

Q2, Q3, Q4-24 = 8,000T - 9,000T per month (assuming an average production of 25,500T/Q)

Vollant says that Largo’s ilmenite prices are expected to be around US$300/T (the middle of the current price range of US$250 - US$350/T)

An annual Ilmenite revenue of US$23.3M could easily increase Largo's EPS (before tax) by US.09 in 2024 considering the fact, as a by-product of V2O5, the Ilmenite production costs should be very low.

Q3-23 CC Transcript

Daniel Tellechea: Now in terms of volumes, as we are moving forward with the commission of the plant between the First Quarter -- in the First Quarter, we're planning to produce around an average of around 300, 500 tonnes per month. And starting April of next year, we expect that the plan will be completely terminated on his commission and time, and we should be producing between 8,000 to 9,000 tonnes per month.

Q3-22 CC Transcript

Paulo Misk: Yes, the ilmenite concentration plan is our first step of the titanium business. We expect to conclude that plan in Q2, specifically May. So you start we are expecting to have three, four months of hump up until reaching 145,000 tonnes of ilmenite being produced. As we are running about two years with a pilot plant at site with the current material that we have been mining, we have already trained our employees. We have a very good knowledge on all the technical issues. So I'm in a very smooth commissioning and ramp up for this production.
