West Red Lake Gold Intersects High-grade Gold at Rowan Mine The Red Lake Gold District in Northwestern Ontario is renowned for its abundant gold reserves, having produced over 30 million ounces of gold from high-grade areas. West Red Lake Gold Mines Ltd, (WRLG.v or WRLGF), holds a significant presence in this district.
The company owns the expansive Madsen Gold Mine, covering 47 square kilometres, as well as the Rowan Property spanning 31 square kilometres.
The Madsen Gold Mine, with its potential to contain millions of ounces of gold, recently received an updated Mineral Resource Estimate, reporting 1.65 million ounces of gold in the indicated category and 0.37 million ounces in the inferred category. Ongoing exploration and risk reduction efforts position the Madsen Mine for expansion in the high-grade gold sector.
Today, WRLG reported promising drill results from its Rowan Property with notable highlights including significant gold intercepts and the deepest drilling to date in the high-grade East Zone, which extends to a depth of 490 meters from the surface.
The results point to the potential for further discovery and expansion of high-grade gold resources.
The Rowan Mine Target area has several sub-parallel gold-bearing veins that remain open along strike and at depth, and the recent drilling program has confirmed the presence of gold mineralization at depth and along strike, with grades consistent with or higher than the existing Inferred Mineral Resource.
Overall this successful drilling has the potential to increase the current 827,462 ounce Inferred Mineral Resource at the Rowan Mine so WRLG plans to continue drilling to expand the high-grade mineral resource.
