Product Qualification Process for Global Aerospace Firm: Based on information flow between the Company and the aerospace client previously announced, the Company believes that the 2-year long qualification process to approve the Company’s titanium metal powers for use by a global aerospace firm and their suppliers, will conclude in the near term.
Of note, the Company can confirm that the qualification process also now includes PyroGenesis’ “coarse cut” titanium metal powder, in addition to the “fine cut” titanium metal powder that has been previously discussed as part of the qualification process.
Note this from the NR:
In September, the Company was featured as a cover story in Powder Metallurgy Review, a premier business magazine serving the additive manufacturing and metals industries. The multi-page article detailed PyroGenesis Additive’s journey to becoming a player in the titanium metal powder production market with its new NexGen production technology.
During the quarter, the Company proudly participated in both the “5th Symposium on Iron Ore Pelletizing” in Quebec City, and also in the Cte-Nord tour organized by AluQubec - Grappe industrielle de l'aluminium du Qubec. The latter of the two events was an invitation-only event which gathered over 25 partners and equipment manufacturers from various industry sectors.
I would think the fine powders passed the testing phase, by such an extent-they ordered our roughest grade powder, to see if that will also pass.
I don't see anything shocking in the financials -35 million in backlog is good. Everything seems on par with a big ticket item growth company emerging from a very long R&D phase. I think sales will increase significantly as more and more pressure is put on reducing emissions. I also noticed a mining company has been testing the torches, I wonder if that's for some kind of gold or silver extraction from ore, or tunneling or something
They seem very excited about HPQ and securing north american supply, and I mean that reactor they built for HPQ is ahead of its time, seeing as the quebec government is invested is fantastic. Just my thoughts
