Premier in Sudbury - stresses the need for critical mineral

Trevor Walker, president of Frontier Lithium, said the Val Caron-based company is “committed to the Sudbury region, to use our flagship PAK lithium project to bring real, sustained economic opportunities to Northern Ontario, and to bridge Ontario’s North with the south (through) critical mineral supply chains that are so key to future success in the province.”

The provincial infusion of $2 million will allow Frontier to “demonstrate and test its unique lithium-extraction process, to deliver high-quality lithium battery materials while reducing waste and energy,” said Premier Ford. “The testing facility is an important step for the company to advance its work and potentially create hundreds of jobs here in Ontario.”
