RE:RE:Defence committee calls for open competition for spy jets

RE:RE:Defence committee calls for open competition for spy jetsYou are right, they will insist that Boeing's plane is the best aircraft to meet Canada's needs, but they have lost all credibility. They say it is the only product available, but they have not even considered Bombardier's or other plane manufacturers offers and only listened to the american ''specialist'' who recommended Boeing as the only possible choice.

According to Bombardier and some competitors, they can build better and more efficient planes than Boeing. So how can you explain this to the voters that are fed up with the ever increasing cost of living that you will choose the more expensive and oldest model plane  instead of a more recent one that would cost less to acquire , maintain and operate.

If they choose Boeing, it will cost them some or a lot of votes

If I was a conspirationist, I would seriously think that there are some brown envelopes that will be exchanged in the present process; for the common sense would be to open the competition to all plane manufacturers that meet the requirements, and  make an enlightened choice

The argument that this has to be decided fast is laughable and we all know why
