RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:Company is failing. Who cares about iron ore? Ballsofire, point taken on engineering problems. Sometimes there is a simple fix like filtering a gas line. Since the gas line was the only variable that changed, it should have been obvious to the old engineer that it was the likely problem. I am an industrial engineer, so I know more about fixing manufacturing processes. The key to manufacturing is to identify and fix the bottlenecks. Line balancing is not always obvious or easy. Perhaps there is a bottleneck in the module 1 process.
Sometimes engineers do take too long looking for perfection. However, you raise a troubling question. What if the engineers working on this process cannot figure out how to get the process running at 2.5 tonnes per day? What if they had the textbook smarts to get this working in a lab with low volume, but they do not know how to get it working at high volume? They have had 5 extra months to figure this out beyond the July date that Greg promised. The process they are running is not that complex. It looks like there are about 8 main steps in the process. Which step is not working? Can it be fixed? Why are we not getting weekly status updates so we do not feel like we are being kept in the dark?
