My conclusion reading your post made me think that the response they are giving resumes to a total withdrawal of any responsability towards the retail shareholders and more of a "you're on your own should something happen if it's very questionnable" that are in the grey areas of rules and regulations from "British Columbia Securities Commission (BCSC)". Essential the watered down mission of BCSC's explains very much what is happening in the stock market with shareholders being burned. IMO
