Not quite sure why you're in the stock market if these are your bleak views!!?? 
Maybe you should be thinking about digging a bunker somewhere in the back 40 and stocking the shelves  ....... lol 

IT's NOT TO LATE to SELL those shares ,,, let someone else worry about them !

Go settle into some BONDS, GIC's or perhaps Canada Savings Bonds !!!
or may I suggest- iShares S&P/TSX Capped Energy Index ETF | XEG (blackrock.com) for a little toxicity and excitment in your life !!! who know might be a smart move !!

If the energy sector is so toxic ... why does BLACKROCK have $170 BILLION  invested in US Public Energy Companies ??
and Don't forget ..... there is a Canadian Blackrock version as well !!!!

AND why do they invest in the Energy sector ??? Simple answer... TO MAKE $$$ MONEY $$$

BUT Yes you're right ... I guess that's a small number considering they manage 
$9.4 trillion U.S. dollars in total !!!!!
These companies have the control and power to crunch any sector ,,, but the plain and simple fact ...the world NEEDS OIL !! and these firms know it !!!
They are not going to destroy the ENERGY SECTOR till there is a reliable energy source alternative the world can 100% rely on !!
and I think its going to be awhile !!

getting back to Toto ,,,, at least Toto had some form of brain .. better then the alternative 
being the SCARECROW !!!! ...who actually had toxic scarey thoughts as well  !!!!!
