Frontera dog and pony responses Firstly, thank you Christine/She Drills for being able to get Frontera to talk with you. My thoughts below:
a) Victor Vega is a joke. This man provided some very pathetic responses to your questions Christine. He should be embarrassed to hold such a powerful position in Frontera and yet offer so little value.
b) Net pay explanation for Santonian was pathetic. "Permeability not as good"... yet he never once actually says what the permeability is in the Santonian and how it compares with Kawa. I'm glad you drilled him on the massive reduction in reported net pay... and his response was quite lousy. For him to even compare net pay methodology with Exxon and how Frontera is being more "transparent" is a complete joke. Imagine if Frontera was tasked with producing oil fields in adjacent Staborek... they would probably fu*k that up as well. Bunch of morons.
c) Further to net pay, numerous examples exist in North America of companies who walked away/wrote off hydrocarbon intervals because of various "technical" shortcomings... only for those same intervals to become literal gold mines when the correct technical team came aboard. Northern Corentyne will become one of these case study examples... and bums like Victor Vega will be a primary reason why.
d) painfully clear that Frontera is not in the game of being transparent. I enjoyed Christine how many times you had to push them on such basic concepts/issues, only for them to make lousy excuses.
End of day, northern Corentyne hold massive potential. Unfortunately the individuals (both technical and business) tasked with advancing this opportunity suck tremendously at their jobs. I can say this with confidence having worked much more difficult resource plays globally that required far greater effort and risk taking. I know what business and technical excellence looks like... these bums don't offer anything of this. Incredibly disheartening to be truthful.
Northern Corentyne, in the grand scheme, is quite simple. I envy the company who will one day work this land base... I envy them even more given that they will probably get it for a swan song given how awful the idiots we have working this play. This interview was just an sad conformation.
Thank you again Christine. Very much appreciated.
