CJ BOD

CJ BODThis is significant to me.  CJ says they have known about Broadviews prospects for some time. That says to me that John Brussa and John Festival have crossed paths.

Several years ago, it identified steam assisted gravity drainage as an area that could provide it with growth and further decrease its decline levels. It was able to acquire assets from Broadview Energy Ltd. earlier this year that had been significantly derisked and advanced, and that fit its requirements, and with additional lands acquired at land sales, it is confident that it has three projects that can be commercially developed.

Board of Directors

John A. Brussa

Mr. Brussa has been a partner of Burnet, Duckworth & Palmer LLP since 1987 and is presently the head of its tax group. Mr. Brussa is a director of several public oil and gas companies. Mr. Brussa obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Windsor in 1978 and a Bachelor of Laws degree, with Gold Medalist distinction, from the University of Windsor in 1981. He articled with Burnet, Duckworth & Palmer LLP and was admitted to the Law Society of Alberta in June, 1982.

John Festival

Mr. Festival graduated from the University of Saskatchewan with a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering. He spent the next 38 years in the oil industry of western Canada working mainly in the areas of primary heavy oil and thermal oil production with a focus on creating shareholder value. He was CEO and a director of BlackRock Ventures Inc. from 1999 to 2006 when it was sold to Shell Canada. He was then CEO and a director of BlackPearl Resources Inc. up until 2018 when it was merged with International Petroleum Corporation.
