Jurisdiction risk/China

Jurisdiction risk/ChinaAs far as Nicaragua being an unsafe jurisdiction, I would not put it in the same category as many of the other countries referenced. I'm not saying Central America is Canada, Australia, or Nevada, but Nicaragua has demonstrated some political stability recently. Not to say it's transparent or democratic, but at least somewhat stable. I haven't been there since 2004, but from former residents, what I hear is that China has made a lot of investment there in recent years. This collaboration certainly comes with its own risks, but at least China believes it's worthy of investment and is providing lots of much needed funding, perhaps lending more stability to the current system. I don't see the CCP seizing ownership of mines on the other side of the Pacific either. Could they do it as a proxy through a friendly and corrupt Nicaraguan regime who owes them money? Yes, possibly taking a percentage of the mine output with them back to China, but I would take that risk over a potential midnight coup by a warlord and his band of marauders elsewhere. I apologize in advance for any misplaced or misperceived generalizations.
