You know full well that a NCIB does not mean they actually are intending to buy 10% of their float back. It just allows them to if they want to. Completely normal for any company operating at a profit who feels their SP is undervalued at times. And it looks good. I prefer a dividend myself.
Companies that have a NCIB just renew it every year. regardless if they bought back any share or not. EDV does the same. never has bought the limit but does buy some.
