RE:Options chain is worthless after tomorrowLooking like it.. it's strange bc this is/was an insane amount of premium to shell out for a relatively obscure REIT. If it was structured as call spreads as i assumed then the max loss is "only" roughly 300K, max profit would have been 1.5MM. I didn't tell anyone to buy based on this.. i kept buying in the 4 handle bc for me the risk/reward is good regardless of if a buyout comes. I'd rather not have a buyout tbh. Rather just ride it out into the next rate cycle. I also hold a significant amount of the 2027 debentures. Keep in mind those calls were all purchased on the exact Monday after the dividend cut was announced. So, quite possible it was entirely speculative.. never know for sure.
