RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:Sales update soon?GrahamB,
I do not believe they have a competitor yet. TomTec is advancing but 4.0 seems to get them to a solid tech advantage but we will see. My biggest worry is GE HC builds this themselves but usually big tech/HC firms arent great at that, more buy vs build.
I've spoken to a board member and also tried to connect to Alvira via a call (was scheduled and then cancelled last min), as well as their USA sales rep to no avail. I that board member a detailed sales strategy & example challenger sales ( a methodology that could work here) deck for VMS to help overcome some of their issues (from what I understand). Another investor I connect with sent that deck and strategy steps to Alvira as she reads his email. No response was recieved according to that investor.
I really don't know what to think at this stage. My biggest concern is they don't know sales (Alvira, GA) and continue to not understand how to sell to procurment/hc admins who control the ultimate/final decision. They did recruit (contractor I believe) a brand person (I was connected to that person thru the board member and waiting for a time to talk) but no word on an actual sales exec which I believe should be hired asap for USA as Europe I believe will get there.
I'm not sure how much of this is them
1) not having a sale exec leader and Alvira and GA thinking they know enough which I have listened to enough calls I pick up on that / comments that they have made where they do not engage procurement or have mobilizers (ie champions within the clinicial / cardiac team employed by that client that want their org to buy a VMS and make the case to their admin/procurment,
2) Not hiring the right USA sales manager and filling the UK/Euro one's vacant role
3) Their USA distributor model being complete fluff (thanks GA) as if you look at their chosen vendors they are mom and pop ones. Thankfully they shifted to Ascend but that likely has taken a lot of resources/time
4) background indication thru studies about to be released, 4.0 or something that makes them confident or over confident that things will work out.
I expect a raise soon (next 90 days) and I expect it to be brutal
