Potash #'s & BHP comparison:.... From the same Canadian Lithium 43- 101 Jan. 2016:
At an average grade of 4,641.3 mg/L and assuming 5.7 billion m3 of water the inferred resource estimate for potassium,000 tonnes (31,868,000 tonnes of K2O)
From E3 43-101 of 2017:
Table 3.
Average chemical analyses of major cations and anions of all samples collected across the entire Alberta Petro-Lithium project.
* Dissolved Potassium 4,700 mg/l.
BHP in Saskatchewan sells 13m tons yearly.
11 mines & 3 solution mines.
The mines are just that, mines.
Solution mining is different.
Uses more water, energy...etc.
It's a deep flat bed of layered potash.
Aka potassium.
They have to inject hot water to dissolve it.
Pump it back to surface hot.
Look @ BHP Jansen project.
Billions just on infrastructure & etc.
7 yr pay-back & only 14% profit margin.
Or you can just snatch potash out of the AB brine, O/G pipelines.
No addtl permitting. Ingenious. Explosives. High energy / water. Mining equipment. Underground risks. On & on.
We of course focus on Lithium for reasons, but now that E3 has proven large scale extraction, AB REALLY wants not just Li, but as many co-products that can be economically yanked out.
They went through depending on just 1 commodity, now via this one company, AB Govt can indefinitely diversify away from repeating that.
So the importance of our successful extraction, is an absolute gem for AB.
& hey, the Potash is most likely another reason we brought back Brad Wall. Deals with SRC & BHP.
I don't see how AB, DPA, I/O, Pure, Rio Tinto, MP Materials, Saskachewan Research, BHP, Molicel & POSCO are not involved......At minimum.
Lookin frwd to the addtl companies coming to AB.
