This might be the Royalty Holding Company. It is not a negative narrative but fact. HDI owns NDM look it up. Investors, young and old, dream of finding the pot of gold or copper at the end of the rainbow or in this case the end of litigation and political and environmental opposition. Many know very little about the history of this project. Management has been spinning this same story for over 20 years. Mining expert, John Embry once called Pebble a pile of rock. There is still no feasibility study on the mine. Who remembers Kerrisdale Capital?
If memory serves me NDM has never submitted a Feasibilty study.
A pre-feasibility study determines whether a probable mineral reserve is economically viable and a feasibility study determines whether the reserve can be economically mined.
Do your own DD on this investment.
Here is the story over and over and over and over again: The Pebble deposit in the US state of Alaska has been described by its current developer Northern Dynasty Minerals (through its wholly owned subsidiary the Pebble Limited Partnership, PLP) as “one of the greatest stores of mineral wealth ever discovered, and the world’s largest undeveloped copper and gold resource”. May be true but can it be mined economically? Rio Tinto, and Anglo American did not think so neither did First Quantum Minerals who nobody here ever mentions. They were in fact the last partner to walk away.
You are welcome for this little history lesson.
