Weekly Stats And Saturday ScotchGold finished the week 2.1% higher, allowing the miners to bounce, doubling the bullion with GDX up 4.3% and the juniors (GDXJ) by 5.3%. Perhaps it's true this time : macro is starting to look great for gold and the miners. Hopefully, we have a nice and sustainable up trend in the make.
That would be good for SGNL which lost big time this week on volume. Let's hope that these shares fell in strong hands. I can tell you that 30k are in mine's and I do not plan to sell them soon. Before shoping, I contacted Rob Dufour and told him I was a bit worried (and so other readers here) about the debt. I also asked him if they were looking at a streaming/royalties solution in order to compensate for the bad equity markets. Here is his answer:
We are definitely cognizant of the bridge financing facility, Nebari has been a good partner and we recently amended the facility to extend any interest payments. The debt does not come due until early 2025, and even then we have the ability to defer it further. That being said, we are considering many options to help advance the Project and certainly that could involve a strategic partner and we have also explored potential streams and royalties. As a significant individual shareholder myself (as is Kevin), we are keen to weather this tough market while continuing to add value to the project, especially with exploration and continued permitting.
Successful investors say they made money by buying low and selling high. They also say to buy when there is blood in the streets. Well, I know it's difficult to see the SP drop like that, but I might have had regrets in a couple of weeks if the SP goes back to 20 cents!
