RE:RE:RE:Osisko Gold Royalties Appoints Jason Attew New PrezThe HNW shareholders (I approximate they hold about 30% of shares outstanding) are the key to ensuring maximum value in any future buyout negotiations. If they are not on board with any potential deal, Paul simply says no dice. There aren't any individual large whales (ala Sprott) with an excess of 10% ownership, but collectively they carry weight. I'd be interested in knowing who they are also.
I also estimate that about 10% of the shareholders are "strong hands" retail such as myself who will hold to the end and slowly accumulate if the current price warrants. Add it all up, maybe 40% of the shareholders are likely in same boat as I am: expecting a double-digits buyout price when all is said and done.
There are many who want the quick buyout ($6 or less), but any such thoughts are fanciful thinking in my opinion - they simply do not have the votes to force a quick sale.
