RE:REIT SELLOFF

RE:REIT SELLOFF Thought it would be a geren day as well as inflation data came in good for Canada, bond yileds went down and US housing sales were weak triggering more recession indicators. Overall it's hard to predict day-to-day movements into tax loss selling season which likely in the coming weeks becomes "tax loss buying" as investors seek out opportunities. With GIC clarity likely to weaken I think investors will be drawn into higher yield instruments like REITs. Could be a hold out until January but overall I believe the bottom is in. Risk dissipated to REITs with rates now moving lower and likely close to a cut cycle in Canada and inflation is coming down meaningfully.
