RE:RE:26:45 Mark, please don't sell this year... begging you, PaulBUT.....opening up to others is exactly what we want. We don't want a buyout negotiated in a bubble with only one party. Regardless of the specifics of the next (assumed final) rollforward of the investor agreement with RIO next week, they will have the opportunity to buy up as many WRN shares in the market as their heart desires. Ditto for any other company not named RIO. Then, the stew of competitive tension may start to boil a bit.
Nah, I agree with Steven that there is maybe a 5% chance of RIO pulling the trigger this year. If you're really curious about when it will happen, look at the market. It's funny how insider information always tends to leak out a month or so before an announcement happens. If you see WRN setting a new all-time high share price that seems to come out of nowhere, well we are likely on the cusp of an announcment. Considering that WRN would need to more than triple from today's price, the odds of that happening are slim to none this year.
Just save some dry powder and load up once tax loss selling season pushes us to around $1 USD.
