As the avenanthramide pill advances and data discovered, and the avenanthramide malted technology for neutraceutical applications advances, and the powder avenanthramide advances, and the wound healing studies, could CZO turn avenanthramide into a blockbuster drug from pill, to neutraceutical, to wound healing, etc.? Gilles vision was to transform avenanthramide into a pharma product. CZO has also investigated avenanthramide with its newer PGX carriers. Gilles has mentioned a potential treatment for exercise inflammation given results in humans to date at a much lower dose than the pill trial. The avenanthramide malted technology allows CZO to reach the neutraceutical market for the first time as in sport's bars, etc.

Finally, our present study indicated that chronic oat consumption not only ameliorated plasma inflammatory response to exercise stress, but also mitigated muscle damage as revealed by a lower plasma CK level (Fig. 2). Furthermore, pain sensation by the subjects, most likely related to DR-induced muscle damage, was reduced during post-supplementation trials especially among subjects treated with AVA-enriched diet (Fig. 9). These physiological data support the notion that besides the general benefits of oat consumption derived from various antioxidant and anti-hyperglycemic ingredients, long-term dietary supplementation of AVA may provide specific protection against detrimental impact of damaging muscular exertion.
