You dont tell your shareholders you are looking to add long term shareholder value, or flash a 50$/share cake to the public and tell them YOU WILL EVERYTHING YOU CAN to get your shareholders there, only to go private. If, and that'd a huge if, he wanted to buy the shares back, it would need to be at minimum, the price where he sold (2$/share).
Again, highly doubt the go private. Also just told us in the unscripted series, he had the option to go private, but didn't. Sure, it would be easier to raise capital through PE and less headaches with the public, but he would be failing his fiduciary duty by tossing his shareholders under the bus with all his recent comments made publicly.
