I agree it is important to keep an eye on these things. I guess by detailed I mean to look at each conflict carefully. For example, at the outset of the Israeli Hamas war, I posted saying that I doubted that this would result in higher oil prices other than a short tempoary bubble since the battle wouldn't result in changes in the oil supply. So people that knee jerked buying oil because they saw war lost a lot of money except possibly those who played a short swing in the week following. This especially true since oil prices have actually declined for various reasons since Oct 7th.
