Putting the cynicism aside for a moment, there are other possible explanations for Sue's comment regarding no business with Zero motorcycles. Zero is supplying the military and likely has a LOT more to deal with than trying to meet mil-specs with Coil Driver motorcycles in the near term, rather than providing the military something else that had already met their requirements. Also, Sue was likely concerned that she really should not talk about that situation.
