RE:RE:Oh clouder ..take a shower …Well Cloudy we'll find out soon enough whether the US will reimpose sanctions or not. Today is the deadline imposed by the US for Maduro to release about 300 political prisoners and allow Maria Corina Machado to run for president who, this past October, the Venezuelan supreme court arbitrarily and without legal basis banned from running.
Meanwhile use your AI bot to learn that Eni, Total, Repsol, Chevron and other majors as Baker Hughes, Schlumberger, Halliburton and other oilfield service companies all plan on returning to Venezuela. So is speculative money in other sectors like real estate. Word is that Biden needs low oil price going into elections next year plus stem the tsunami of Venezuelan migrants into the US. Immigration policy is becoming the top election issue in the US.
As for AI, it's projected to replace about 80% of current jobs in legal, financial, clerical, banking, insurance, retail, analysts of all kinds plus manufacturing, engineering design etc. ad nauseum. You want to buy a home? Lawyer only required to review and sign what the AI bought did in microseconds - title searches etc. They even have trading bots in high frequency trading to manipulate share prices. All of those people now sitting idle won't be spending much money or burning fuel to go to work and back. No office buildings needed, nor parking lots etc.
I'm playing lots of internet chess these days. Chess.com free. I've been honing my skills playing against a bot named Noam from Israel. Can't beat him. I learn and play better but Noam gets even more better. Machine learning software I guess. Noam figures out that I'm getting more crafty and he gets even more craftier. He gave me his queen a few games ago and 4 moves later he checkmated me. Can't beat the bots. Even Kasparov lost to IBM's Deep Blue a few years ago. Now Chevron and Exxon are using AI in their geological modelling.
