Dude, YOU are the topic, and your feelings about market operates are YOUR issues. You should probably work on that, out of the open public forum.... since this is an open forum, we all get to offer our opinions on the topic you presented to us, because that's how this site works.

A GIC would be right for the subject of this thread, he will likely still cry about something. I suggest a high interest savings account at your local bank, not a TFSA because the complexity may perplex you, but just a nice regular savings account, so you can relax and your money is always close at hand to remove when ever you get scared and your blankie, thumb and nightlight isn't enough to make the tears go away.
