RE:New cornerstone …Totally agree that EDV looks like the best prospect , by far, for a large gold co.
I was around in the late 1970s , and even somewhat aware of things, but not an investor or any sort , was more of a hope I can pay all the bills this month situation. But even so no one could avoid what was happening in gold. The price peaked at just over $800 US on Jan 4 1980, and started a long long down time. Anyway, during the multi year swing up in price everyone was buyng gold, actual gold, as there were none of these fake funds that 'sell' gold these days.
And then after gold peaked and fell pretty hard, the comment/joke became that when the secretaries are buying , it is time to think about selling. Seems the word was that secretaries would go out on their lunch breaks to buy more gold - perhaps they did , I have no idea.
At present we are far from the secretaries buying, and it seems there would be a huge potential herd of buyers that could get excited.
The $800 top out in 1980 is equivalent to $2900 these days according to my inflation calcualtor. To me thaqt is the high I am looking for!
